Gishma Johnson

Managing Director

Before taking this bold step to become an entrepreneur, Gishma worked as a Corporate Communications Manager at Isuzu Motors South Africa, after the company acquired manufacturing and distribution operations from General Motors South Africa. She was instrumental in managing both corporate and internal communication during the transition from General Motors to Isuzu. This entailed corporate identity management, culture change communication, the roll-out of a new vision, mission, values and key business priorities whilst building internal and external trust and confidence in the Isuzu brand through strategic public relations and corporate social responsibility programmes.

Over the years Gishma has managed corporate communication, internal communication, product communication, dealer communication and corporate social responsibility. She has worked across a broad range of sectors including automotive manufacturing, tyre manufacturing, parastatals and in the media.  Gishma started her career as an English teacher in 1992 and later studied Journalism. Capitalising on her experience and expertise, Gishma has coached and mentored a number of graduates in training which included German exchange students.

Denise van Huyssteen

Reputation Management Director

Van Huyssteen has worked in the automotive sector for over 20 years and during this time was responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies in support of Delta Motor Corporation’s operations, General Motors return and then later its exit from the market, the launch of Isuzu Motors South Africa, introducing new brands and launching over 60 new vehicles into the market, crisis managing issues such as the General Motors Chapter 11 bankruptcy impact on the local market and issues management for markets in Africa and the Middle East.

Van Huyssteen, who has led teams based in Dubai, Cairo, Kenya and South Africa, is well versed in the areas of internal, corporate, product, government and key stakeholder communication. In addition to this she has developed business strategies directed at ensuring the sustainability and growth of operations.

She has also served as a Director on the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber Board from 2013 to 2020 and over the majority of this period has played an instrumental role as the Overall Task Team lead.

Rosa Stead

Marketing Director

Stead, who has worked in various Marketing roles within the retail environment, serves as the Marketing Director for the company co-currently to her Chief Marketing Officer position at InterAfricaZA Group Holdings.

Prior marketing and sales roles were at major companies including Spar, Clover, Spec Savers and Barloworld Logistics.  Additionally she also served as Employee Relations Manager at the Coega Development Corporation.  Her core expertise include the launching of in-house design agencies, the establishment of customer relationship platforms inclusive of sales pipeline, lead management, ticketing and servicing as well as the creation and implementation of sales and key account processes.  Rosa has a strong creative flair when it comes to the development of websites and key online and social media platforms.
